Should I Stop Celebrating Now?

So about 6 days ago I got a notice from Substack to celebrate having 100 subscribers. In my previous post I mentioned that it wouldn’t be long before I had under that because most people who subscribe don’t read or engage your content.

It took less than 48 hours to lose two subscribers. I actually got to 101 subscribers and then low and behold! TWO people unsubscribed to my Substack and now what do I have 99 subscribers!!!!!!!

LOL!

So, will Substack send me another “big deal” email and message when I hit it again and if they do, then what?

I’m not sure what to do right now…

The 99 of you committed subscribers are just as meaningful as 100 people. There are only about a third of you that open the email anyway and of the third of you that do that, I have at the extreme high end maybe 3 people hit that pesky heart and comment.

Again, why can’t we go back to the olden days when people just read stuff and no one knew how many people were reading it and people had to write to the editor to weigh in?

Because that would make life way too difficult wouldn’t it ;)
